Anna Laufenberg
Music Together® Mixed Ages
Anna Laufenberg recently moved to Orwell, Vermont enjoying this beautiful state. She loves gardening and music, particularly teaching young children. She studied music at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz, Germany where she received her BA for recorder, piano and early childhood music education.
She likes playing and performing music of the Renaissance and Baroque era in which the recorder flourished and was very popular all over Europe. For many years she performed with different groups playing on period instrument reproductions. In order to explore the music of the classic and romantic period she learned to play the flute. Being able to play chamber music with others gives her great joy. For more than thirty years she taught music to students of all ages and developed her own preschool curriculum based on ideas of Carl Orff, Zoltan Kodaly and Jaques Dalcroze.
While she sings with her young students in the early childhood classroom she loves to accompany them by guitar. She is excited to join the music teachers and students at MCMC to share the joy of music.
