Cailtin Sausville

Music Together®

Caitlin is sure her love of music began in utero with the sound of her mother’s beautiful voice, and that love of music grew exponentially earth-side. She begged for dance lessons at age 3 (and continued for 19 years), studied piano for 10 years, and began vocal training at 16 when she joined her school’s award-winning chorale. Individually, she competed and was selected for the Texas All-State Women’s Choir. The bridge between her love of singing and dancing was found in musical theater, with which she fell quickly in love. This led her to attend AMDA (the American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in NYC, where she studied intensively under an array of professionals and completed her tertiary education.

During her years in the city, she sang with Melodia (NYC’s premier women’s choir), including one memorable performance at Carnegie Hall. She took an opera intensive through the Juilliard Extension, and was the soprano in a professional quartet during the high holidays at Barnert Temple (NJ). On the flip side, she was in two different bands, one of which (Hawk and Dove) toured and performed at SXSW in Austin, TX in 2014. Her future husband Adam was the drummer of said band, and she relocated to central MA to be with him and his family.

Caitlin taught music to Pre-K3 thru 8th grade at Holy Family Academy (Gardner, MA) from 2015-16, and led their middle school choir and drama club. Despite moving on from the teaching position, she continued to choreograph/co-direct the school’s musicals for the next several years. She taught private voice lessons for Monument Square Community Music School (Leominster, MA) from students ranging in age from 6-40. She returned to her theater roots, performing in a long list of musicals at Theater at the Mount (Gardner, MA). She and Adam also sang and played with multiple bands during the 10 years she lived there.

Caitlin is mother to 2yr old magical twins, Jonny & Josie, and stepmother to 4 amazing humans. She relocated to Middlebury when Adam accepted a year-round position at the Snow Bowl in late ‘22, and feels she has slowly but surely been finding her niche in the Middlebury community. You have likely seen at least one of her chalkboards around town under the name LadyJane Ink! Caitlin recently returned to the stage after a 4 year hiatus in Town Hall Theater’s January musical, Next to Normal. She is thrilled to be joining the MCMC community, and feels the best is yet to come!!
