Music Together® teacher for IN-School and parent/child Classes

If you have a desire to inspire a love of music in young children and support parents in creating a musical home life for their little ones, this is the position for you.

  • Middlebury Community Music Center is seeking charismatic, playful individuals who can sing in tune, move with accurate rhythm, and are comfortable leading groups, to teach early childhood music and movement classes based in Middlebury, Brandon, Ferrisburgh and more.

    Comprehensive training, outstanding curriculum and teaching support will be provided.

  • Has a desire to inspire a love of music in young children and support parents in creating a musical home life for their little ones

    Has music reading skills and/or a music degree (but is not required)

    Has experience with young children and knowledge of child development

  • This is a part-time position. We have opportunities for morning, weekday, and weekend classes TBD, but are especially in need of someone available on Thursday mornings and Saturday mornings starting in early 2024.

Summer Music Camp Coordinator

Middlebury Community Music Center is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Summer Camp Coordinator for our 2024 summer camp program!

  • Middlebury Community Music Center is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Summer Camp Coordinator for our 2024 summer camp program! The Summer Music Camp Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all aspects of the music camp program. This includes coordinating scheduling, faculty, and staff, managing logistics and camp operations such as enrollment, communication, and ensuring the safety and well-being of camp participants. The Summer Music Camp Coordinator provides essential support to all our summer camp directors and staff, and is a liaison between camp families, directors, staff and our administrative team to ensure a successful and enriching experience for all campers. The Summer Music Camp Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations.

  • Has a passion for music education and working with youth and has the desire to build community relationships

    Has excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Has the desire to help others and provide customer service

    Has a strong attention to detail and strong problem solving skills

  • This position is part-time @ 5-10 hours per week and starts immediately. Once summer camps are in session (mid-June until the end of August) the position requires up to 25-30 hours per week.


Internship: Lead Summer Camp Counselor

  • The Middlebury Community Music Center summer internship is an opportunity to be an essential part of a dynamic, experiential music program for children, ranging from ages 4-18, over the course of the summer, June through August, Monday - Friday, from 8am - 4pm.

    As a lead camp counselor, the intern plays an essential day-to-day role in supporting our summer camp directors, campers, staff, and junior counselors.

    • Loves working and connecting with children of different ages

    • Enjoys meeting new people

    • Appreciates a challenge

    • Possesses self-initiative and self-motivation

    • Has strong problem solving skills

    • Has an outgoing, optimistic and energetic attitude

    • Enjoys working as a team and has the desire to build community relationships (ie. sports teams or musical theater involvement)

    • Has organizational astuteness (ie. Do you organize your bookshelf by color?)

    • Has strong leadership skills (ie. Team captain or the lead of the high school musical vibes)

  • This internship is an opportunity to be an essential part of a dynamic, experiential music program for children, ranging from ages 4-18, over the course of the summer, June through August, Monday - Friday, from 8am - 4pm.
