She is currently enrolled in the Hartt School of Music’s Summer Master’s program in Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Conducting. Christy has been teaching flute and piccolo students of all ages since 2008.
Christy’s enthusiasm and love of music has helped her students learn about music theory, history, global music, and technique. This balance of various topics produces creative discussions in each lesson. It has also helped her students reach their many goals, such as participating in district and all-state festivals as well as become better musicians.

Christy Papandrea has wanted to share her passion for music through educating others since the moment she picked up a flute in Fourth Grade. Throughout her years in school, Christy strived to learn as much about music as a student could; this resulted in her growing desire to learn as much as she could about music.
She decided to continue her education and learning at Castleton State College. Christy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education while studying flute under Court Gettel in 2014.
