Hailee studied Music Education at Syracuse University, in addition to minoring in Music History. After graduation, she taught general music to kindergarten through sixth grade, as well as directing the band, chorus, and theater programs at Sunderland Elementary School and Currier Memorial School. While in southern Vermont, Hailee developed a piano studio of ten students, ranging in age from six to seventy-six. Hailee has also worked in early education in various capacities throughout her teaching career. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Vermont to expand her teaching to best serve all students.
Hailee believes that music is a vital part of children’s lives. Studying and enjoying music develops a wide range of cognitive, expressive, sensory, and motor skills that are beneficial for learning and life. Music can and should create a positive and nurturing space for children to play, explore, and grow. Hailee is so excited to be involved in the musical community at MCMC and looks forward to growing with her students!
